This candle is made from 100% all natural soy wax with a lead
free cotton wick and has been hand poured into an 8 oz quilted jelly jar and
accented with with a silver lid. Light it up and let this highly scented candle
fill your home.
Our scented soy candles make great gifts for House Warmings,
Anniversaries, Wedding Showers, Birthdays, Mother's Day, or anytime gifts!
Caution: Our homemade soy candles and soy melting tarts smell good enough to
eat, but are not made for human consumption :)

Soy wax vs Paraffin wax

Paraffin wax is a petroleum by-product and is the most common type of wax used in the U.S. due to its low cost for the manufacturer. Paraffin wax releases thick black soot when burned, as well as 11 documented toxins, 2 are carcinogenic - toulene and benzene. The American Lung Association has warned consumers of unhealthy indoor air quality from burning paraffin candles. Contributes to the dependency on crude oil. Soy Wax is a renewable resource grown and manufactured right here in the United States. Soy is completely non-toxic and non-carcinogenic, and soy candles produce little or no soot to damage the surrounding room or to those with allergies and breathing problems. Soy wax is environmentally safe, biodegradable and a renewable resource. It is easily cleaned up with just soap and hot water. Soy candles also burn cooler than most paraffin wax candles. They also burn up to 50% longer than paraffin wax candles which makes them more economical to use. They also seem to hold their fragrances extremely well compared to paraffin. Paraffin candles smell like a potpourri of fragrance and soot. You can watch the trail of soot from a paraffin candle and then watch a soy candle burn clean.
